King Kovu, the Young

"Look at you. You've got the brawn, the smarts, the drive, the will, the discipline, the anger--

The past."

The dust settles ever so lightly against the torn up earth. Dead trees bend towards the oppressor, their destroyer, in a never-ending bow of respect. Kovu's dark, threatening composure only seems to look like a silhouette amist all the debris from the fire. He marches a heavy, weary march in beat to the cackling of the leaves that tumble in the wind.

"Look at you, going around with a bloodthirst controlled by your mother. You've success. You've respect. You have even fear of yourself."

His eyes glow with such an intensity, it seems to be unnatural. A green, piercing glare stares back at him as he takes a look at himself in a small puddle. He shows no emotion at himself, but he knows he feels pride for the cruelty he's inflicted. Suddenly, the wind draws ripples to the puddle, and a new reflection glares back at him.

"Look at you... my son. Everything I could have ever asked for."

He nods, slowly to continue his trudge across the barren terrain. A few paces out, he comes across a carcass--the pride's king. The male's eyes remain open, struck forever with surprise and realization. Gashes, placed all over his dorsal side, have been dried in blood. The dark over-taker held a sly half-smile, and bent over to whisper into the dead king's ear, "You are Simba's last warning, King Tojo. He has one more chance to give up my father's lands, and hopefully you will convince him." With that, he slit a cut into the golden lion's stomach, symbolizing his ultimate kill.

"Look at you. You're a king. A conqueror. A worthy successor to my lands."

"...All with your help, Scar."

I hate the shading, didn't get time to do what I wanted with it. The story is crappy, I know, but I did it in like 5 minutes. xD

Tried finding a new style... but... I lack originality.
